Sara and Tony’s Central Coast Beach Wedding
Sara & Tony’s Noraville Wedding | Central Coast
When Tony first reached out to The Party Hire Company in June, the hire request was relatively simple: a marquee and furniture for an at-home wedding reception at their home in Noraville on the NSW Central Coast.
As the planning conversation progressed, Tony and Sara discovered that our team could help with much more than the reception setup. The scope soon expanded to include styling their beachfront wedding ceremony, bringing both parts of the day together under one plan.
Working with the couple, our Account Manager & Stylist, Lauren, developed the styling direction for the ceremony and created a visual mock-up of the space before the day. The concept mapped out the seating, ceremony florals, candles, welcome signage and guest arrival area, giving the couple a clear picture of how everything would come together on the sand.
What started as marquee and furniture hire for a backyard wedding had grown into a completely relaxed and beautiful Central Coast wedding setup.
The Beachfront Ceremony Styling
With the beach and surrounding coastline providing the backdrop, the ceremony styling was intentionally understated.
Lauren worked with a palette of warm neutrals, white florals and dried palms, choosing elements that complemented the natural location rather than competing with them.
Forty white folding chairs were arranged on the sand, framing the aisle and leading towards two statement floral installations, creating their alter. Smaller floral details and clusters of candles added interest through the ceremony space while keeping the overall look relaxed and considered.
At the entrance, a personalised linen welcome sign for the couple was styled with a white geometric plinth, white florals, dried foliage and candles, creating the first introduction to the ceremony as guests arrived.
The concept also considered one of the practical realities of a beach wedding: shoes. A dedicated beach-shoe station featuring a jute rug runner and white ladder shelf gave guests somewhere to leave their shoes before heading onto the sand.
The finished ceremony stayed beautifully close to Lauren’s original concept — soft, coastal and designed to feel like it belonged in its surroundings.
From the Beach to an At-Home Wedding Reception in Noraville
Following the ceremony, celebrations moved back to Sara and Tony’s Noraville home.
Here, the brief shifted from styling a natural ceremony location to transforming an everyday outdoor area into a reception space that could comfortably carry the celebrations into the evening.
A 10m x 6m marquee created the foundation of the reception.
Clear roof panels and clear gables allowed natural light to fill the space during the day, keeping the marquee feeling open and connected to the surrounding property. As daylight faded, festoon lighting installed through the marquee canopy created a completely different atmosphere for the evening.
It’s one of the advantages of hosting a wedding at home: with the right items, a familiar space can become somewhere entirely different for the occasion.
Creating a Relaxed Backyard Wedding
Sara and Tony opted for a reception that encouraged guests to move, mingle and enjoy the space rather than a traditional formal seated layout.
A 3m x 3m timber dance floor created a dedicated area for the party, while cocktail tables, rustic bar stools and additional seating provided a mix of places for guests to gather throughout the evening.
Festoon lighting extended beyond the marquee into the surrounding entertaining area, helping connect the different parts of the property, while patio heaters were included to keep everyone comfortable once the temperature dropped.
The result was relaxed and informal, but with all the practical elements needed to turn a private home into a functioning wedding venue for the night.

What We Loved
What we loved about Sara and Tony’s wedding was how naturally each part of the day worked with its location.
At the beach, the styling was deliberately restrained, allowing the coastline to remain the hero. Back at their Noraville home, the marquee, lighting, furniture and dance floor completely changed the way the existing outdoor space could be used without losing the relaxed feeling of celebrating at home.
These setup photos offer just a glimpse of Sara and Tony’s celebration before their guests arrived. We can’t wait to see more photos from the day and to see the ceremony and reception spaces in action.
And it all started with an enquiry for a marquee.
Being involved earlier meant our team could look beyond individual hire items and consider the wedding as a whole — helping Sara and Tony move from an initial idea through to a styled ceremony and fully equipped reception.
For couples planning a Central Coast wedding, particularly a beach ceremony, backyard wedding or celebration on a private property, Sara and Tony’s day is a great example of just how much can be achieved without booking a traditional wedding venue.
