Supporting the 2026 Coast Shelter Sleepout

At The Party Hire Company, we’re fortunate to be involved in some incredible events throughout the year. While many are celebrations, weddings, corporate functions and community gatherings, some events stay with us for very different reasons.

The Coast Shelter Sleepout is one of those events.

Held at Polytec Stadium in Gosford, the annual Sleepout brings together local businesses, community leaders and residents for a night dedicated to raising awareness and funds for people experiencing homelessness, domestic and family violence, and housing insecurity across the Central Coast.

This year, 94 registered sleepers and 174 attendees came together to raise more than $125,000 for Coast Shelter and the vital services they provide to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Supporting a Cause Close to Home

When Coast Shelter approached us about supporting the event, getting involved was an easy decision.

As a local Central Coast business, we understand the importance of supporting our local organisations that make a real difference. Coast Shelter’s work extends far beyond a single night or fundraising event. Every dollar raised helps provide practical support, accommodation services, crisis assistance and pathways to stability for individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.

What The Party Hire Company Provided

Our team donated a range of furniture and activation items from our hire collection.

The event featured rustic timber tables, Hampton outdoor chairs, white bistro seating, bean bag lounge areas, lawn games, white picket fencing and a custom photo moment installation.

These pieces helped transform the stadium concourse for attendees throughout the night.

Creating Spaces for Connection

One of the things we love most about events is their ability to bring people together. Whether it’s a wedding, community fundraiser or corporate event, great spaces encourage connection, conversation and shared experiences.

The Coast Shelter Sleepout was no exception.

Throughout the night, attendees gathered around lounge areas, connected with fellow supporters, heard powerful stories and reflected on the challenges faced by many people in our local community, serving as a reminder of the impact that can be achieved when people come together behind a common cause.

For our team, it was rewarding to see the furniture and event spaces being used exactly as intended — creating areas for people to meet, relax, engage and participate throughout the evening.
